Title: A Day Trip to the Berlengas Islands, Portugal
Summary of Episode
We took a day trip from Peniche to the UNESCO world biosphere reserve Berlengas Island and had an amazing experience! We went in the morning (around 10 am) and left around 2pm. We thought this was plenty of time. We loved the views and the island is beautiful.
We went with Feeling Berlinga, you can book through Get your Guide also.
Key Topics
Don’t go in a small boat
It is a strenuous hike up to the top and back down to the fort.
Take water, sunscreen, a hat, good hiking shoes, if you plan to do the hike.
There is a restaurant and cafe there but no store
You can swim, snorkel, and play in the water at the beach and at the fort
The boat caves tour is great and can also take part of the hike off for you
